On Friday, 25 September 2026, Politehnica University of Timisoara is holding "StartUPT, welcome to the Politehnica universe", an event marking the opening of the new 2026-2027 academic year.
The event sets out to give first-year students a first taste of the university community and to bring together the faculties, the student associations, the university's own bodies and its partners.
The programme of the day

- 10:00 to 11:00, the official ceremony opening the academic year
- 11:00 to 14:00, activities for students: workshops and interactive sessions run by faculties, student associations, university bodies and partner companies
For students of this faculty
Taking part in StartUPT does not replace the faculty's own opening, held the same day at 12:00 in the Auditorium.
First-year students are encouraged to attend both.
