The structure of the academic year
Organised by semester
Academic work is organised by semester and includes teaching periods, examination sessions, holidays and, depending on the programme and year of study, periods set aside for internships and for completing studies.
The structure of the academic year is approved at the level of Politehnica University of Timisoara and is updated for each academic year.
How teaching is organised
A timetable for each programme
The activities set out in the curricula follow the timetable of each programme and year of study.
Updated timetables are published at the start of each semester, giving the groups, the time slots and the rooms in which activities take place.
The learning platform
What the platform is for
UPT Campus Virtual is the learning platform used across the university for teaching and for course-related communication. Students can find lecture and laboratory materials, upload assignments and projects, take part in online activities and assessments, and receive announcements and notifications.
At the start of each semester it is worth checking that you have access to the courses for your programme and year of study.
Administrative support
The registry
The faculty registry supports students with the administrative side of their studies.
You can ask there about your academic record, about the documents and applications you need during your studies, and about other administrative procedures.
Regulations
Student activity is governed by the regulations and procedures of Politehnica University of Timisoara.
