Students from outside the European Union and Romanians from the diaspora have a route of their own at the start of the academic year: some of the paperwork passes through the Department of International Relations first, and only then reaches the faculty.
The enrolment file
Activity at the faculty begins only once the physical enrolment file reaches the faculty from the Department of International Relations. The steps, in order:
- the student goes to the Department of International Relations with the physical enrolment file, at the Rectorate, first floor, office 107; files are received Monday to Thursday, between 12:00 and 15:30, and on Friday between 11:00 and 13:00
- the institutional credentials are handed over there as well, to the student's personal email address
- the department sends the file on to the faculty, together with proof of payment of this year's tuition fee
The study contract
It is signed within the first five days of the file arriving at the faculty. The clock starts when the file arrives, not when you arrive in Timisoara, so it is worth asking the registry whether it has: write to ria@upt.ro, with your name and study programme.
Certificates
Students from outside the European Union and Romanians from the diaspora do not request certificates from the faculty registry, nor from our website. The request is made exclusively online, on the Department of International Relations page.
The certificate is ready within ten working days at most and is collected from room 110 in the Rectorate building, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 12:00 and 14:00. You receive an email when the document is ready for collection.
For anything else, the department answers at student-admissions@upt.ro.
The institutional account
The credentials handed over at the Department of International Relations open the @student.upt.ro address and the student.upt.ro platform, which holds the study contracts and tuition payments. Every student's account is being matched against the university's records these days; what changes and when is in a separate article.
